Reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year Jorge Gutierrez had a forgettable pro debut with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA summer league at Las Vegas.
The former Cal star collected five fouls in 10 minutes in Denver’s 95-74 loss to the Warriors. Gutierrez made 4 of 4 from the free throw line, but did not attempt a shot from the field, had just one rebound, no assists and three of Denver’s 29 turnovers.
His plus-minus ledger (the game’s scoring margin while he was on the floor) was minus-15.
Gutierrez and the Nuggets get another chance Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks at 3 p.m.

It’s just a game Jorge. Use that Cal state education in Social Welfare for the good of society. CPS in Sacramento is hiring.

Jorge’s defensive game may not fit well in the pro’s because the players will be quicker than college.

Shame for him. In other news, folks who think Jason Kidd would make a good head coach can finally be silenced. Lucky he didn’t kill anyone.

Rollon – that’s a little extreme.
So you’re saying if Montgomery or Tedford got a DWI or DUI they should be fired for that?
I don’t think so.
