Football: News isn’t good for Jahvid Best

Word is that Cal alum Jahvid Best likely will miss the NFL season’s first six games.

The Detroit Lions’ 23-year-old running back has not played since suffering his latest concussion last October.

Still not medically cleared to play, Best is expected to be placed on the physically unable to perform list to start the season.

Thats a tough break for Jahvid. Some people just seem prone to those types of injuries. I just hope he does not end up with serious, permanent damage.

Jahvid, please, please retire….Not worth it in the long haul to jeopardize your health…..As much as we love watching you run, your long term well being is much more important!!!

The Detroit Lions are cursed. No Super bowls, Follett forcd to retire , now Jahvid has problems.

  • Uh Huh!

It is somewhat amazing to me that a guy could be out from concussion for 10 months.
And yet, these guys go and take hit after hit, week after week with NO(?) long term effects?
    Yeah, right.
If Jahvid can’t come back from a hit to the head in 10 months, then football as a sport is doomed. 5 years ago, he would have been playing within a couple weeks, for sure.
