Maybe Tedford can channel the memories of 10 years ago, when he took an unproven Cal football team into East Lansing, Michigan and upset Top 25 Michigan State. That was the win that put Tedford and Cal on the national map.

But I don’t see too many similarities, either. Tedford had Kyle Boller quarterbacking the team, and he was good enough to get drafted in the first round of the NFL after that season. Maynard ain’t gonna see the light of the CFL let alone the NFL. And I don’t like what I’m reading about the team chemistry.

I like what I’m hearing from the team. Yeah. I’m continuing to be stupidly optimistic.
