Sophomore cornerback Kameron Jackson, who came off the bench to intercept three passes and set up a fourth with a deflection in the Bears’ 43-17 win over UCLA, was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.
Jackson only was in the game because senior starter Marc Anthony left after aggravating a bruised knee.

3 Interceptions AND he broke up the pass that deflected to Michael Lowe for his interception and long return. Had to be the easiest choice ever.
Congrats to Kam, VERY well deserved.

This is the same guy who got publicly called out by Clancy Pendergast earlier in the season and demoted from first team consideration. Talk about going from the outhouse to the penthouse in a couple of weeks. I would love to see him pull a Wally Pippen and never stalk the sidelines again.

Suttree i commend you on your fair and correct perspective. Thats why i want kline to get a series a game the last few this year.
If kline is in the drivers seat with a little bit of experience were fighting oregon for the pac 12 north title.

That seems like a waste of a redshirt season. If we want to start him ala Sean Mannion, that’s one thing. But you don’t burn a redshirt to give a guy a few series’ worth of game experience. I still remember Pat Barnes – he burned his redshirt year, and then just when he was hitting his stride, he was out of eligibility. I wonder if he would’ve had an NFL career if he’d had more time to develop in college.
