Women’s basketball: Bears No. 14 in two polls

The Cal women’s basketball team, with most of its roster intact from a 25-10 season a year ago, is ranked No. 14 in preseason polls released by Lindy’s and Athlon Sports.

This seems to happen every year. Then we get smoked by Stanfurd and it’s all over.

True but If Stanford is rated much higher -its sort of expected.
