His career is over.

Maynard was bad last year, he’s been bad for the most part this year. Even if he improves and we win a few more games, at best we make it to a piss poor bowl game. Whoopdy do !

How about the truth. Two years burned with Maynard at QB because Tedford needed Keenan Allen, and b/c they didn’t have the strength to bring in Keenan, and then bench Maynard for not being the best option for our FUTURE.

Several years burned for the Bears because Barbour got so excited and gave Tedford a ridiculous contract.

Now we beat UCLA and all of a sudden it’s back to drinking the kool aid.

This season is a failure. I’ll root for wins like always. But I’m burnt out on reading articles that try to posit some type of pollyanic reason for hope.

Let’s talk about next year. Start to ask the real question, Tedford WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO START PREPARING A QB FOR NEXT YEAR (KLINE). Game 8, game 9, last game of season? I’d love to see someone ask Tedford post game straight up, if next season started next week – does Bridgeford or Kline get that first snap.

I need to make plans for next year. I’d like to know now if Bridgeford is going to start. Then I can budget investing my time and money into something else – like Cal Baseball.

Role on….love the enthusiasm, but I am just not there yet with Maynard. He has a history of flashing brilliance and regressing. The regress part usually comes against outstanding defenses like Oregon and SC last year and ASU this year. And as well as he played against the Bruins last week, one of the most bone-headed plays he ever made was that pick early in the game throwing off balance into double coverage on his bro.

I want to see him win a game from behind in the last few minutes with all the marbles at stake. Remember last year at Washington, or that last drive against OSU this year? Win one of those, Zach, and I become a believer.

Its funny Rollon what a bunch of saps we are for our team. I was so mad and frustrated before, but I found myself pulling up that locker room video again last night and showing the wife and kids. That energy and emotion is what its all about for me. If they could bottle that up and have it available each week… Anyway, I’ve resigned myself to stop worrying about the big picture issues for awhile and just trying to enjoy watching my team again for a bit. Hopefully we have another great day tomorrow. GO BEARS!

it was his best game as a bear, and probably his best of his career. had a 4td game against pitt when he played for buffalo, but they lost. it’s as if he turned into a leader overnight. it’s what this team needed. he needs to keep it up. it’s a shame to think that even if we were somehow able to run the table from here on out, we’d still likely not make it to the title game. i wish it was based just on your subconference record. if our only losses are to u$c and az state in conference, it would be such a disappointment not to be able to play in the pac12 championship. yes, i realize this is ridiculous to even mention, but until we lose another game, and after seeing that locker room celebration, i’m a believer.

Watched the UCLA game on the Pac 12 Network; their game in 60 minutes feature. Very cool.

Say what you want about ZM, the kid is touch as nails. He was getting smashed.

I hope ZM has a great game against wazzoo. Now that he has felt it, he will be much better at finding the groove. Of course, the O line has to do its job too. It was better vs UCLA and that has to continue. I predict an inspired Cal team beats WSU by 15 points.
