I care because it’s dollars lost for the program. This isn’t a YMCA charity basketball league. This is big business. And every time our athletic leadership screws up things like this it adds up to lost dollars.

There are people being paid millions of dollars to make sure that our athletics grow as a revenue contributor to the school, and are self-sustaining. As a baseball guy who went through the baseball cut last year, I care about all the little things our highly paid athletic leaders get wrong that contribute to lost dollars.

I am excited for the basketball season. I like the relatively low expectations (not a top 2 finish) and I like the lack of true superstar.
