Basketball: Pac-12 honor to Cobbs

Cal junior point guard Justin Cobbs, who won MVP honors at the DirecTV Classic in Anaheim, was named Pac-12 Player of the Week.

Cobbs averaged 19.3 points over three games as Cal won the event, improving its season record to 6-0. He shot 25 of 29 from the free throw line, and had 17 rebounds, 13 assists and six steals.

    A solid tournament by Cobb & Company. Happy to see the Bears compete and win a tournament. Keep up the good work!!

    Cobbs is the best Cal PG since Kidd. At this moment he is a more valuable NBA commodity than Crabbe and would get drafted higher. Unguardable 1 on 1 and turning into an excellent passer and rebounder, cannot wait to see him perform in the NCAAs.
