Basketball: Pac-12 honor to Cobbs

Cal junior point guard Justin Cobbs, who won MVP honors at the DirecTV Classic in Anaheim, was named Pac-12 Player of the Week.

Cobbs averaged 19.3 points over three games as Cal won the event, improving its season record to 6-0. He shot 25 of 29 from the free throw line, and had 17 rebounds, 13 assists and six steals.

  3. Cobbs is the best Cal PG since Kidd. At this moment he is a more valuable NBA commodity than Crabbe and would get drafted higher. Unguardable 1 on 1 and turning into an excellent passer and rebounder, cannot wait to see him perform in the NCAAs.
