Scotty, couldn’t agree more. I went to a San Jose State game this year I was so impressed with the program. Even though there were a lot of empty seats, it just had that feel of “something is going on here.” And that something is Mike MacIntyre.

Juancho: All things considered, I really like Mac also. Bay Area & California recruiting roots already established, extensive background in SEC territory, and best of all, he got his left-for-dead program into the Top 25 BCS standings in under thre years. With Cal’s facilities, talent and starving alumni donor fan base, he would be a great choice. Plus, he just flat out looks like a great coach on the sidelines. Zoned in, animated, emotional but controlled. Not going to miss Tedford’s zombie persona on the sidelines.

Correction, he did two years at Vandy when his dad was there, then transferred and graduated from Georgia Tech, another rigorous school.

He’s also coached at Temple and Duke. Both rigorous schools.

@rollon – None of the candidates being thrown out there come from a university with the academic rigors as Cal. You’ll be hard press to find many that have that type of experience unless we go after Vandy’s coach.

fresno state’s academics will train him well to take over here. considering that was the primary reason for JT’s termination, this decision, if true, is concerning.
