I hope the new coach can retain coach Gould and coach M. M needs another year, year and a half to mold our oline into what we had during his first tenure with Cal. Of course this all depends on what type of offensive system the new head man brings in.

I bet that coach is having a hard time in getting “Points to His Left Arm” and “Bags the Last 3 Games” to attend classes.

For that matter, with the second lowest APR in the conference which borders on the same level as Mississippi State it looks as if the whole team is sandbagging it.

Has anyone ever asked Coach Gould why he didn’t play Brendan Bigelow more this season? I know Tedford got the question a million times and he always said it was Coach Gould’s decision, but Gould never seemed to ever get interview throughout the season. Curious about his thoughts on the matter. He’d probably just say it was Tedford’s call.

I think the new HC would be nuts not to keep Ron Gould on as RBs Coach. Show me a better one in the country – unlike Tedford, who ran highly touted QBs into the ground, Gould’s RB chain at Cal is unreal. Even ignoring the All-Pro talents like Lynch and Best, what he did with guys like Igber, Forsett, Ech, J.J….I mean come on.

Add to that the fact that he’s a great guy, great recruiter, loves Cal, and is a loyal guy…and I’d be very disappointed not to see Coach Gould on the sidelines next season.
