Riddle me this my fellow miners in the bottomless caves of pain known as cal football.
Time to move on macintyre before hes off the board ? Or risk losing him to pursue petersen et al ?

I hope everyone is having a klinetastic day.

Go after McIntyre post haste! I knew Anderson wasn’t going anywhere when I saw all those Mormon names of his kids.
November 30th, 2012 at 5:29 pm
Esteban w. thats funny. One of my coworkers said the same thing today. Andersen has really only been in utah. Would have been a risk getting a guy with no california recruiting ties.

Oh, and Gary, enjoy the Potato Bowl and many more like it to come. Just saw that Boise is headed to a some Schlub bowl against 6-6 Arizona State. But Petersen is not coming here either. The circle around the musical chairs is getting smaller.

CRAP! This is beginning to look like leftovers

Anyone else surprised by the score of the ucla – furd championship game? I expected furds to walk over the bruins. Will be interesting to see if they can come back and win.

24-24 tie. Gotta root for the bruins, though I feel furds could win it.

Oh well. I cant stand stanford.

We’ll end up w/ an O coordinator from another Pac-12 school. Sandy doesn’t have the muscle or acumen to draw a proven name. Besides, she needs to save some $ since she gave most of them away to Tedford. How would you like to “report” to this dunderhead?

Give me Jack Del Rio:
Former coach, was decent in the NFL. From the Bay Area…would be an awesome recruiter. If he’d be up for it I’d want him.

Cal should think outside the box if all we are after are mediocre coaches.
Tony Gonzales would gain us recruits and attention. The rest of what’s left are yawners.

Juancho – your obsession with kline and constant mentions of him are a little disturbing.

@Ho
LOL.
I am beyond certain our man Juancho is fine and just expressing in his uniquely humorous voice what we all feel to some degree about CAL football: we inevitably find some way to end up having no choice but to pin all our hopes and dreams on a single egg in the basket. The egg is what varies for each of us; I know my egg has changed.
(Sometimes there are a few eggs at once even tho that is inconsistent…)

Anyone care to make a comment about whether most of the effective college head coaches out there are principally offensive or defensive coaches. I think being a great offensive coach is more difficult, but I don’t know for sure. Maybe someone who is knowledgeable can go through the Pac 12 head coaches and indicate what their specialty is — offense or defense. Chip Kelly, at Oregon, must be an offensive specialist.

If a tree falls in an empty forest does anyone hear it?
I woke up this am to a rumor that stanford is goin to the Rose Bowl…guess no one went to/knew about a game.
Or maybe it did not happen….
I went to Bellarmine/SI game last night. Good game. EC vs MC and a future Cal QB today.
Go Bears!

If what was being said about Cal cheaping out on asst. coaches (and presumably other staff as well) compensation is true, why would any top tier coach want to come here? It is pretty well known that is the primary reason Tosh left. And it probably has a lot to do with the turnover in coaches that has been obvious for several years now.
If that is not going to change do we really stand a chance to hire the kind of coach everyone is hoping to see?

It’s beyond clear that Cal is going to have to up its game in program support and quality beyond whoever the head coach will be.
You can have all the things you think it takes to win but if you don’t have enough of the right people you will lose to the programs that are all in.
I’m expecting the AD to take care of this along with the new hire.
If she does not it will be clear for all to see and the results in ticket sales will be very bad for UC.
It’s in their hands.

Damn my Murphy blood! [mom's side makes Murphy's Law apply]
I leave for my daughter’s birthday party, big 6, in 13 minutes, and of course Georgia is leading Alabama 21 to 10.
Congrats to the furd, though the “you have to be tough and resilient to attend Stanfurd” crap makes me unable to write it on a different blog. I mean, really? Is that because they give actual grades now?
Juancho, I love the microwaveable enchiladas, once you figure out the exact cooking time so you don’t overdo them. They get stale crispy parts then, but otherwise, it beats just about anything that can be done in such a short time with such little effort. Oh, and their version of Cheetos rock.
