Who really is a “no-name coach?” Need I remind you that PC was U$C’s 4th or 5th choice at the time of his hiring? He was a broken-down failed ex-NFL coach at the time who was only hired after Mike Riley, et al turned the school down. A ton of uproar in South Central at the time of the hiring. All great coaches start as “no-namers” at some lower division school and nobody is born into being the head coach or a top flight coordinator in the SEC.

That being said, I second the view of those on here who do not want Sonny Dykes. I do not want Cal playing what is essentially a 60 pass per game, minimal running, no defense style of ball. I doubt his preferred style will change coming here, although Brian Kelly did change his mode of play going to ND from Cincy. Big decision from SB…if she aims low and doesn’t have winning as her top priority, her ass needs to go. It probably should anyway at this point.
