We need to aggressively pursue Hooper from DLS. The kid has size, speed and great hands. Would be a great addition to the Dyke’s high octane offense as a tight end.

…and here’s an excerpt from Tony Franklin interview. I highlighted his statement I found most significant. I LOVE that they use 3 back power running formations. I can’t recall seeing any spread O’s that use 3 rb’s. Great for 3rd and short & Red Zone.

What that adds up to is not endlessly working to try and out-scheme their opponent but rather determining how they can impose their will on an opponent instead.

today’s la times, lame says he’s not going to hire a DC until after their bowl game, jan 31.

if SD, Buh and Co keep up their aggressive recruiting, I’m liking our chances more and more of flipping some of those 4/5 star recruits like Redmond(sp), Cravens, Vanderdoes(sp) and Hutchings.

Then, if lame’s dc is a retread like D Walker, January and the days leading up to loi day could be huge.

Ryan Riddle, Sid Slater & Matt Giordano were all JC transfers that Tedford got in his first year. THese guys anchored the defense and were stars . JuCo recruiting is great. Go Bears!

I believe Sione Sina and Kyle Kragen also committed. Look for those announcements to come out over the next couple of days.

Sina is a 3 star DE from San Mateo CC, and Kragen is a 2 star LB from Diablo Valley College.

Sina has excellent offers, including Oregon, UCLA, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Pitt.

Kragen was an Illinois commit that we flipped.
