These recruit rankings are meaningless to me when it comes to two or three stars. Those are the guys who will develop based on coaching.

The four and five star guys are the ones who can probably compete for playing time immediately. Vis a vis desean, trent richardson, jadeveon clowney, keenan, aaron rodgers outta butte.

This staff has got a good class given the circumstances. If they have a good year on the field next year theyll dominate in recruiting.

The reality is that he’s a strong fit for a 4-3 defensive scheme. It’ll be two years before he’s a significant contributor, and he’ll be a low center of gravity 300 lbs that will be tough for OLs to move.

It is the flip side to the 3-4 vs 4-3 argument. The 3-4 requires elite NTs to be effective, which are hard to recruit. The 4-3 allows you to get guys wouldn’t have a spot on a 3-4 DL, yet can be ideal for the 4-3, possibly even in a short time.

On that note, look for Tiny to have a big impact next season as a DT instead of playing the NT position. HE was all power, limited technique facing 2 OL on most plays. Now, he’s gained experience with techniques AND he’ll likely face less double teams.
