Wisdom is absolutely right. Huge difference between the two. Also it’s not the leaving for a new job, it’s how you go about it. You don’t discuss the change with recruits and burn a Cal in home before you have even made the decision offical!

Agree Wisdom Cow. I was talking about grabbing a team’s recruitor at the 11th hour. Flipping kids I’m 100% okay with (hehe). I guess at least OR had a coaching change recently. The WA fiasco just stunk to high heaven.

You can’t really compare Buh, a guy being hired as a DC, a guy that just lost his gig at Wisconsin, to a guy hired specifically to bring in recruits.

There is the slight difference in stealing the recruitER, as Oregon just did with Duke’s stud. It’s the timing of that type of hire which is troubling. It screws Duke out of the benefit which they paid the guy for the entire year, similar to He Who Must Not Be Named.

Hate to burst everyone’s bubble. We do the same thing.

Last I checked we flipped Dannon Cavil from Ole Miss (to no avail). We flipped Ray Davison from Northwestern. We flipped that kid from Indiana. We flipped that wide receiver from Boise State.

Let’s not pretend we’re any different. Recruiting is a grey area. And we’re right there with the rest of them.

Remember when Andy Buh was hired ? He immediately tried to use his relationship with Tyler Foreman and Terrell Newby to swing them to Cal. But couldn’t.
