Cal is reporting that only about 2,000 tickets remain for Saturday afternoon’s game at Haas Pavilion against No. 10 Oregon.
Tipoff is 1:30 p.m., and already nearly 10,000 tickets have been sold. That will make it the biggest crowd the Bears have attracted all season.
Cal is promoting the game as a “Gold Out” and will give free gold T-shirts to the first 8,000 fans in attendance.
There will be gourmet food trucks selling food in Spieker Plaza in front of Haas, beginning at about noon.
Cal (12-8, 4-4 Pac-12) has beaten Oregon (18-3, 7-1) nine straight times, undefeated against the Ducks since Mike Montgomery became coach in 2008-09.
