Basketball: UNLV’s Dave Rice on matchup

By Jeff Faraudo
Sunday, March 17th, 2013 at 9:53 pm in Basketball, NCAA Tournament.

From UNLV coach Dave Rice, courtesy of the UNLV sports information department:

“We have great respect for Cal and coach Mike Montgomery. They have a hall of fame coach and terrific players. I had an opportunity to watch them a number of times after we faced them and they played great basketball during the Pac-12 Conference schedule.

“Both programs are familiar with each other, having played the last two years. We know how good they are on both ends of the court and how well they play together. We’ll certainly have our hands full. It’s a tremendous challenge but also a great opportunity to be playing in the NCAA Tournament.”

They did beat us twice in the past two seasons and both teams know each other well.
It’s going to take an entire team effort to win.
    They are good
Can’t rely on Crabbe to do if all.
If we play a strong team game and sell out on D we can play with anybody.
Even though we got a low seed tremendous opportunity for the team.
Can’t wait to get down there and root the Bears on.
    Dancing time California!!!
