Women’s basketball: Bears head to New Orleans

The Cal women’s basketball team is on its way to the Final Four in New Orleans, where on Sunday it will face Louisville in the national semifinals.

Check out staff writer Elliott Almond’s excellent profile on Cal coach Lindsay Gottlieb, who knew early she would have a life in basketball.

How will the Bears do on the nation’s biggest stage? They see no reason why they can’t win it all. Here’s the story.

Eric my brother. I pray you will attend and report back on how it went?

I am trying to make sure i watch this womens game tomorrow.

  • Juancho

How many of y’all are going to watch the women’s game tomorrow? I have a sneaking suspicious less than 50% of us regulars are going to watch it. Feels like negligible buzz for it here on the blog.

I dream of the day where we make the Rose Bowl. And there are 1,000 messages on a post for it.

  • Will

    I will watch.

I will not post about the Rose Bowl because I will be at the game when it happens.

  • Juancho

Rope man im with you. But i meant posts in the build up to it. Not day of.

Khalfani ran a 10.46 to win the 100 meter. Unfortunately, McKinley false started and was DQ’d. Kalfani ran second in the 200 meter to Elijah Mitchell (who ran an amazing 21.21). They have quite the rivalry – Khalfani beat Elijah in the 100 meter and 200 meter last year at State chamionships.

The Notre Dame 4×100 team ran a weak 42.3 – Khalfani was in last at the hand off. In the 4×400, the team set a season best at 3:19:89 and finished 6th. Khalfani’s anchor split was in the 48s.

I saw Koa Farmer there as well!
