Football: Keenan Allen set to run for scouts

Former Cal wide receiver Keenan Allen is scheduled to run Tuesday in his native Greensboro, N.C., with representatives from all 32 NFL teams in attendance 16 days before he’s expected to be drafted in the first round.

Allen said he probably was 85 percent recovered from his left knee injury, which he “tweaked” before the February scouting combine, but that he’d be back at full strength in a few weeks.

Allen suffered a strained posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee Oct. 27 against Utah. He missed the final three games of the season, his predraft workouts at the combine and Cal’s pro day.

In Phil Steele’s College football 2012 magazine, Under Louisiana Tech’s write up it states, “In each of Sonny Dykes’ first 2 years, they have had a surprise starter at the beginning, replaced him at midseason and got much better results in the 2nd half of the season…”

Based on this, would it be far fetched that, say Hinder gets the nod and Kline comes in mid-way into the season. Or how about Kline first, than Goff by mid year?

Im willing to bet fifty cents that multiple qbs play in our opener. I just got a feeling hinder and kline share snaps week 1. Partially bc austin “lou alcinder” hinder can run and offers a different threat.

I hope one of the QB’s stands out because I don’t like the QB carousel game. I’m fine with Hinder getting a few plays a game for the element of surprise but not more than that.

Play whoever needed for as long as needed or play as many as needed in order to win.
Whatever it takes just get W’s!

You cant spell rose bowl without KLINE.
