  1. Congrats to C.J. Hopefully he can continue the tradition of great running backs from Cal.

  2. Loved him as a Bear. Could be another unheralded Cal player who flourishes in the pros.

  3. CJ could def be next marvin jones. (I know 5th round vs free agent.)

Juancho, re raiders. ain’t happening, brother.

  4. I agree with ScottyBear. I think C.J. has the talent to play at the next level.

BTW, did anyone see the teerjerky short documentary ESPN recently showed about John Tuggle’s short playing career the N.Y. Giants, before he died of cancer? Lots of commentary by the Giant’s head coach, who I think was Bill Parcells.

  5. Round of applause for stanfords collins making the leap.

  6. I don’t have a favourite in the QB battle. But I guess I could see this Kline kid being a good choice.

    KLINE = MY HAPPINESS

  7. Of course you know, Juancho, that if Kline does not pan out for whatever reason, that all the blame will be directed to you?

  8. Latest track news on Khalfani:

At today’s Mission League final,s KM ran a personal best winning time of 10.36 100 meter, which is tops in California and top 5 in the country. He also ran a wind-aided 20.87 in the 200 meter (which he won), which would be second in the country if the time qualified. He also anchored the Notre Dame 4×100, which ran second to Loyola with a time of 41.11, which time is in the top 15 in the country.

  9. Eric:

Thank you for the news. Khalfani looks promising. For comparison purposes, Jahvid’s fastest high school time in the 100m was about 10.33.

  10. Bluengold my brother may blessings be upon you.

Look at it this way. The past year or so was all downers until the new staff arrived. Kline could never play and will still have goven us something positive by the hope he represented and the laughs we got from his idol worship on here.

Eric my brother blessings be upon you in the name of muhammad.

  11. If Takkarist McKInley is 6’3″ 240 lbs. and is a top 5 sprinter in CA, please Sonny out this guy at tailback. Can you imagine that?

  12. Don’t forget, guys- today at noon pacific Cal will take on BYU for the inaugural Varsity Cup national rugby championship in Provo, UT. Unfortunately, its only available as a streaming video on Youtube (search varsity cup rugby), but the visuals should be much better than what typically appears on this blog :)

  13. BRETHREN. WASHINGTONS FOOTBALL BLOGGER QUIT TO COVER NFL. COULD JEFFS ABSENCE BE BC HES UP IN SEATTLE INTERVIEWING!!!!!!!!

    Cat dont tosh us!

  14. Scotty Bear:

Tight end. No one in the front seven could even come close to his speed. Anyone in the back four could not bring T. McKinley down.

  15. Don’t worry, Juancho. The cat has been tweeting. He’s still around.

..though he could be tweeting from Washington too, so who knows.

  16. Also on the hoops front, per twitter” roger moute – 3 star – rounds out the class. Listed at 6’6″ 200 and pf??? His brother is roger, formerly of ucla.
