Football: Keenan Allen breaking out

By Jeff Faraudo
Monday, October 14th, 2013 at 8:42 pm in Alumni, Football.

Suddenly, Keenan Allen is a favorite target of San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.

The rookie from Cal caught nine passes for 107 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown catch, as the Chargers beat the Indiananapolis Colts 19-9 on MNF.

Over the past three weeks, Allen has caught 20 passes for 302 yards and two TDs.

Nice to see Allen doing so well. Anyone watching the Chargers game take note
how the defense put pressure on Luck with a swarming pass rush with sometimes
six man pressure taking him out of his comfort zone. That’s how defense is suppose to be played. Dog that Q.B.

Someone, please pass this onto the Cal defensive coach. I am so tired of watching opposing Q.B.’s sit back a pick out a target because Cal’s players do not put pressure
    on them.

Great opportunity for him with both Malcolm Floyd and Denario Alexander out for the rest of the season!
