I will be there. Hopefully soaking up the sun on a beautiful Berkeley Indian Summer afternoon.

    Go Bears!

If Cal plays at 1230 & no one watches it does it still count as a loss?

    Afternoon football in November.

    Life is good.

    Go Bears!

You could put this game on at prime time and pay me to watch and I wouldn’t bother. Stormy Dykes built the stinkiest turd going. Anyone who pays to watch this garbage is telling the AD that you support her decision to bring in about the worst coaching staff this side of Tedfraud.

  • Woj

For the 1000 or so fans that will pay to show up and watch Cal get drilled … again, I recommend you catch the Jacksonville Jaguars game the next day. You will be used to seeing defenders futilely chasing receivers into the end zone and the opponent’s points increasing like a pin ball machine.

Fire Barbour! Fire Barbour! When the team finishes 1-11 this year and no better than 2 wins next year I hope someone pulls up this entry and says yep Sandy Bonehead has got to go, Woj was right.

The list of her horrible decisions starts with keeping Ben Braun on for 5 years too long then Tedfraud on for 4 years too long and paying him way way too much and negotiating a terrible ‘buyout’ for Cal. I would have made Tedfraud clean toilets to earn his unearned millions and then talked to him about a much smaller buyout after his nails reeked of floor scum. The nthe stadium debacle and huge! debt, then the hiring of Dykes and Buh – both of whic hare about as inspiring as mud caked on the bottom or your shoe and win about as often as it snows in Berkeley.

Woj, fantastic rant, made me chuckle. Well said.

Woj, you’ve made your points: you hate that idiot Barbour. And Cal/Dykes/Buh/Oski/the mikemen all suck, while Tedford should be cleaning toilets, etc. etc.

Maybe get outside and enjoy the nice weather or something. Pet a kitten. Chill out.

IF the defense had only 1 or 2 starters out, I’d be right there with you man. But THE REALITY is that the defense HAS NO CHANCE with the remaining healthy personnel, NO CHANCE.

The coaches can’t prevent torn Achilles tendons and knee ligaments, busted heads and bones. I really liked the way the defense was flying around against NW. But as soon as Sebastian went down – I knew it was going to be a long season. Scarlett, Forbes, Broussard, Sebastian, McClure, Jalil…all potential All-pac12 selections, and all on the shelf.

Barring catastrophic injuries (again), next season WILL BE BETTER. Every group on the field will be MUCH improved.

But if next season at this time we are healthy and still not competitive then I will be ranting.

But what is the point of ranting at this juncture? You just make yourself out to be ignorant of the injury facts. Read the injury report, compare the abilities/experience/age/size etc of the defensive subs vs the starters (there is a significant dropoff, who would have thunk it?), sigh, then move on with life.

Personally, am looking forward to watching Barbour’s hire, Mike Montgomery, coach a very good basketball team to another championship this winter. But since we have yet to make a final four with Monty, I guess Barbour is an idiot for not hiring Calipari or Krzyzewski, right Woj?

    Go Bears!

Woj needs a day game intervention.

Step 1: Park west of campus and stroll through the most beautiful campus on the planet.
Step 2: Have a beer at Maxwell Field and cheer on the well dressed players at march to victory.
Step 3: Walk down the hill, get a slice from Blondie’s and watch the band perform; oh the cheerleaders perform too. Follow the band up to the stadium; scream at the eggheads studying at Doe.
Step 4: Drink another beer and then head up to row 73 on the west side and view the Golden Gate, the City, Marin.
Step 5: Cheer on the Bears and stay for the entire game. Listen to the band’s post game performance. Walk down the hill and into a great Bay Area evening.

Repeat for every glorious day game.

    Go Bears!
