Football: Trey Cheek taken to hospital after collision in drill at the end of practice

Cal freshman cornerback Trey Cheek was taken by ambulance Highland Hospital following a collision during a drill at the end of the practice Wednesday.

Cheek, who has not played this season, was expected to remain overnight for observation. A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Cheek was hampered early this season by a nagging hamstring injury.

Safety Avery Sebastian, who visited Cheek on Wednesday night, tweeted: “Leaving the hospital now my bro @Cal_Trey is all good!”

    Enough is enough.

This string of bad luck must stop.

On Thursday night on Tightwad Hill I will perform a sacrifice to the Greek goddess of good fortune, Tyche. In the spirit of Berkeley, it will be a vegetarian sacrifice.

Can’t hurt. Besides, the Greeks defeated, well, you know, that group from the south.

I think I’m now convinced that Tedford laid a curse on us on the way out. Must find a voodoo priestess to reverse it. Never seen anything like what’s happened to this team this year. #beatSC #GoBears #firebuh #firesandy
