Cal freshman backup center Kameron Rooks will miss the remainder of the season with a left foot injury, the school announced Saturday.
The 7-footer played in all but two of the Bears’ first 28 games of the season, averaging 1.6 rebounds and 1.3 points in 7.0 minutes per game.
Rooks posted a season-best eight points and collected a pair of rebounds in the home win against Washington State earlier this season. He had totaled 20 points and 17 rebounds in 83 minutes over his last 11 games.
The Bears were scheduled to play at Arizona State on Saturday afternoon in a battle of teams tied for third place in the Pac-12 Conference.
