Football: Aaron Rodgers is NFL’s MVP again

Former Cal star Aaron Rodgers was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player by the Associated Press for the second in four seasons.

Rodgers completed 341-of-520 passes (65.6%) for 4,381 yards with 38 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2014 for a 112.2 quarterback rating that was second-best in the NFL and the second-best of his 10-year NFL career. He led the Packers to the NFC Championship Game.

Previously, Rodgers also was named first-team All-Pro and was chosen to the Pro Bowl.

I know JJ Watt had an excellent season, but I am glad Rodgers was recognized because he was far and away the most valuable player…for a team that won its division and had to play both of the Super Bowl bound teams and the regular season.
