Ratebeer.com says problems are fixed, will be back on line soon

If you’ve tried to view ratebeer.com recently, you’ve probably noticed the weird message that says “entering this site may damage your computer.”
It looks to me like Ratebeer has been hacked. I asked Joe Tucker, the co-founder of Ratebeer. He didn’t answer the question but he said the problem has been fixed and they’re testing their new software right now.
I tried the site and it looks good. Hope it’s fixed. Although I often harp and whine about their “best beer in the world” proclamations, I think Ratebeer is very useful for finding out what others think about a particular beer.
I often check both ratebeer.com and beeradvocate.com and – and for a final opinion I go to the Oxford Bottled Beer database, a UK site with a huge library of beer ratings from an English perspective.

I recall a month ago that whenever you Googled for something on ratebeer that Google would warn you that this site was known to give users viruses and would refuse to connect you to that site. If they are having troubles again then they really do have big problems. Hope they get that fixed soon.
I also use beeradvocate and ratebeer to view others opinions of a beer. It’s interesting to see the wide variety of differing opinions and tastes. Sometimes they seem way off to what I had experienced. C’est la vie!

I agree, sometimes opinions range into complete weirdness, which shows the breadth of human taste.
I’ve paid scant attention but I believe ratebeer has been down all this time.
