Two beer events Wednesday evening in San Francisco that well worth a visit. Both start at 6 p.m.
- City Beer, 1168 Folsom St. is going to have a charcuterie (cold cooked meat) tasting. This comes from Beth Wathen, co-founder of City Beer:
Please join us tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4th for a complimentary sampling of handcrafted salumi from Berkeley’s own Fra’Mani. Famed chef Paul Bertolli started Fra’Mani in March 2006 to offer the public quality cured meats in the traditional Italian style. We will be suggesting various beers to pair with the salami.
Beth tells me the beers on tap will include Green Flash Hophead Red, Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron and Russian River White Lie.
- The Toronado, 547 Haight St., will tap the first keg of Fluerett, a beer Russian River’s Vinne Cilurzo made with Italian craftbrewer Agostino Arioli at the new Russian River plant in Santa Rosa. It’s fermented with black pepper, honey, violets and roses
Toronado Proprietor David Keene will also have several Belgian-style Russian River beers on tap, including Temptation, Beatification. Supplication, and Damnation, plus Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig IPA.
There’s no charge. Pay for your beer.
