International leaders will drop by Skyline College on Monday to learn more about the economic and other systems in the U.S.

Two legislators from Uruguay will visit the San Bruno campus as part of a U.S. State Department tour.

Skyline’s Bay Area Center for International Trade Development, an organization designed to help small- to medium-sized businesses with international trade, will host Jose Oneto, a Uruguayan state legislator, and Adriana Pena, a Uruguayan congresswoman. The pair will meet with college administrators, faculty and staff.

They are in the U.S. to become familiar with various aspects of American political, social and economic systems.

They are also interested in California’s technology, politics and prolific export economy, and the Bay Area Center’s strategies for developing the state’s international trade capacity.
