Picking up on my previous entry about students doing community service, make sure you check out this story about twin sisters Rebekah and Sarah Marotta from Burlingame High School who founded the club Beyond Borders, which helps out the homeless in San Francisco and does other mission projects.
Also watch our video of the club’s members making lunch packages and passing them out to those in need in downtown San Francisco. Just scroll down the video list on the right to “Making lunch for the homeless.”
Comcast cable also did its own video. You can go to Comcast On Demand at Channel One-Bay On Demand-Hometown Heroes.
Meanwhile, we’ll have a story later this week about another group of Burlingame High students donating 2,200 1,601 pairs of socks and $600 to a homeless shelter.
