Grammy weekend: Congrats to Duncan Sheik

Duncan Sheik

My good buddy - and original theater dog, Chad Jones - will be glad to hear that Duncan Sheik can add a Grammy to his trophy case. He won in category 81, Best Musical Show Album, for “Spring Awakening.”

Sheik, to put it mildly, was stoked about the win. What an amazing turn of events for this talented man.

“Even a year ago, I would never have expected to be a Grammy winner,” he said.

What’s next? An Oscar, maybe? I’ll have to ask Jones whether “Spring Awakening” (which I’ve not seen) would translate well on film.

More soooooon.
