No Candy Hearts for Darth.

Happy Valentines day ya saps! Throw me a Raiderette to hold and kiss, please. HEY! I didn’t even get candy today! Oh wait..yeah, I did….ate it too quick.

Good job, Mr. Burgess. In limited minutes, the folded armed beast obtained one tackle and one sack in the Pro
Bowl held last Saturday in Hawaii. It’s just too bad we didn’t have Teleportation devices. If we did, Mr. Nnamdi Asomugha would of accepted the invitation given by the NFL and be ready for last weeks game. The NFL recently called him Thursday night and said they needed the All-Star Cornerback at the last minute. Swell, maybe next year the higher ups will give the Cal graduate a call earlier than a day or two.
Don’t worry, Nnamdi..I can foresee more invites in the future…and if they’re late next time, you can borrow my Tie-Fighter 2008.
Light Speed, son..there is no substitute.

You guys hear of the up and coming Award dinner held for Nnamdi? On March 9, 2007, the steering committee for The Oakland Raiders Booster Clubs will honor Pro Bowl CB Nnamdi Asomugha during the 5th Annual Commitment to Excellence Award Presentation Dinner at the Hilton - Oakland Airport. The cost is about 85 bucks a plate and provides prime rib and dancing all night. The only question I’m asking myself is; will I be attending with the mask on or off? I mean, which decision will a Raiderette be more impressed with?
You’re right, mask on.
In other news, the Raiders have hired Brian Schneider as special teams coordinator and Curtis Fuller as special teams quality control assistant.”Brian has had success with special teams everywhere he has been in his career and I’m very confident in his abilities,” said Raiders Head Coach Lane Kiffin. “We interviewed a number of candidates for this position and Brian always remained our number one choice. Solid special teams play needs to be a signature of this football team and both Brian and Curtis will work together to make sure that this happens.”
Last but not least, I’d like to leave you all with a little tid bit reported by Mel Kiper on his comparison between Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch:
“In terms of Peterson, he’s just a better overall talent. He’s going to run a 4.37 40…with a 38″ vertical, 8% body fat and he’s been considered the best-conditioned athlete on OU’s team and he’s very talented. Some guys come into the NFL with injury histories and never get hurt again. Lynch doesn’t make guys miss as much. He’s more of a pounder, difficult to tackle, a lot of yards after contact. His 34 receptions matched his total for the previous two seasons combined. I just think Peterson’s skill level is higher. Peterson could go as early as 3 or 4, while Lynch will go in the middle of the first round, like 16 to Green Bay”.
You think Adrian Peterson could go sooner? Like maybeeee..#1? Ask Emperor Al.
Until next time, Rough Raiders. Peace in your hood.
