Whos House? Porterhouse!

So the big news is not the minor fact that Mr. Jerry Porter has changed his number from 84 to to 81. (Timmy must be rolling in his grave!) But rather, that the former “Mr Pouter” has hopped aboard the “Lane train” program.
“For me the new number represents a new start, a new beginning and new attitude,” Porter said in a statement released by the team. “I’ve had multiple meetings with coach Kiffin and I am very excited about the direction of our team and especially our offense. I can’t wait to get started.”
And just like that, all is forgotten. Fans are now more likely to forgive and forget his intolerant behavior given in the past.Well..most fans…
I for one, the dark Lord of the Sith, master of of all evil, will forgive his negative outbursts. Only because he predicted in the beginning of the 2006 season that Art Shell’s methods would not work and was later on named a prophet of things yet to come. Remember..your Jedi strengths to foresee into the future are exceptional , Jerry..but not as powerful as Master Darth’s.
I would suggest next time, if you have ANOTHER problem with the Coaching staff, to please keep it IN HOUSE. No one likes a whiner, son.
So what does this mean for Randy Moss? More unhappiness? I suspect the former Pro Bowler would rethink his situation after hearing that his bickering buddy is no longer bickering.
I guess another big question is: Do the Oakland Raiders actually want the speedy one dimensional Wide Receiver? The force tells me if the offer is right, the Raiders will take it. (rumored to be a 3rd round draft pick and an experienced receiver the Raiders are shopping)
Considering what we paid for the Afro alone, I don’t think we’re giving him away for cracked peanuts.
Maybe the situation will present itself when Randy comes up with a decision. I just hope the response is given sooner than later. If he makes a negative statement now, maybe we can use him as trade bait when the 2007 Draft arrives….all too easy.
If he makes a positive response….well, I’m still not sure Coach Kiffen knows how to use the go route Wide Receiver into a west coast style offense.
In other news, JeMarcus Russell is supposed to be available to the media on Friday. Hopefully the big guy will tell us all if Al Davis and Lane Kiffen are on is on his “Fave 5″ cell list. Can the College Champion truly help out team? Hard to see, the dark side is…
keep it dark and shiny…
