I’ve been waiting for you, Obi-Walker.
By Charles Ybarra
Sunday, October 19th, 2008 at 11:51 pm in Oakland Raiders.
I sensed your feelings in the 4th, Oakland. You felt, beaten, betrayed and belittled by our opposition.
You felt weak…frightful..
angry..powerless..
tired…
tired, of the same results…
tired, of the pitiful reasons why we have lost in the past..
tired, of the same kind of emotion you’ve been experiencing for the past few Sundays.
Thank the good Lord I told all of your minds to block out the negative and wait for the positive!!
Blessed IS the power of the Sith!!!
How did you like it, Nation?!?! Our team FINALLY has proven their worth!!
The Silver and Black has FINALLY won at home!
The D FINALLY finished off their opponent near the end of the game!
Javon Walker FINALLY produced!!
Good Lord, Kids. I’m not even sure where to begin..
Hmph..the wise say to first mention the things we need to improve on..
Ok..quickly!!
Kwame Harris..what the hell is up with collecting all of that yellow laundry?
D in the box..How do you let punkass Thomas Jones gain 159 yards on 24 carries?
Cable..Do you think the Pych out Time out rule is STILL advantageous?
Hell, who gives a flying sh$# about the negatives at this point. We won a game!!!
Javon “Sky” Walker, the Lord of the Sith has been waiting for your ability to be seen for what seems like eternity.
After watching you celebrate your TD in the “Dark Side” End Zone, it looked as if you were waiting on your ability to be displayed as well!
Hell kid, the only real reason fans get on you so much is because we all want the same thing in life… we all want your high priced, dramatic arse to succeed!
“That’s what’s going to happen when I get thrown the ball” Walker said. “It’s going to continue to happen.”
Congratulations, sir. I hope we can see a lot more of that ability in the future.
Trevor Scott, those TWO sacks on Farve came up real big in the game. I think the fans now realize that the defensive line can hold their own without Pro Bowler, Derrick Burgess starting. It’s not like we all wish for #56 to stand on the sideline with a triceps injury, but we all want to know that we’re still in good hands. Tommy Kelly, you get big ups for a sack too. It’s not easy putting the old man down when he gets into “Legend” mode.
D-Hall, you’re improving with every game. I hope you now realize that the closer your get to the receiver near the snap, the better results, sir. That interception was sick as sin. Wilson also got an INT in his gift basket…yahoo!, Christmas has come early!!!!!!!!
More Game balls!
The Raiders have been guarded with second-year quarterback JaMarcus Russell. But offensive coordinator Greg Knapp took the wraps off his young signal caller at the end of OT, and Russell responded with impressive completions to Javon Walker and Zach Miller to get the Raiders in position for Janikowski’s winning kick. JAM.. damn good job, kid. It wasn’t the prettiest win, but we’ll take it!
Jano..it’s been a while since I’ve said anything positive about you in this blog.
On the Raiders’ game-winning drive, Cable asked kicker Sebastian Janikowski, who missed a 40-yarder earlier in the game, how far could he kick a field goal in the situation. Janikowski said about a 57-yarder. So when the opportunity arose, Janikowski got his chance. And he nailed it, easily.
Cable’s reason for allowing Janikowski to try it with 2:35 to go in overtime? Simple, said the players’ coach.
“You have to believe in your players,” Cable said.
If we all only knew it could be so simple.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK, NATION! DRINKS ARE ON ME!!!!!
CHEERS AND CHILI BOWLS!

We should have RAIDER GREATS of the past at EVERY GAME!No disrespect to Fargas but they should Start D-MAC and bring Fargas off the bench. J-Russ looked good all we can do is hope its a sign of things to come with our passing offense.

Nothing has been said about the four officer injured during the game, one hospitalized.
Way to go raider fans.

Guys, what is up with not playing Michael Bush? At the very least, I think he should get 10 carries a game, just so he can help us wear down the d-line of the opposition. Also, he’s a great receiving threat out of the backfield as well, and lastly, our healthiest back! Tom, I like ya, but what are you thinking????? Heck yeah, I’m happy about the win too!

Jstfinney, I couldn’t agree more. MB was listed as the number two back in today’s depth chart and I was expecting to see his stats in today’s paper.
My hat’s off to the Raider defense! After Farve lit up Arizona last week, they played as if empowered by the Force! Play to win; don’t play to prevent!
Baltimore 26 and Miami 13 at Baltimore represents the next challenge. So Silver & Black, make me a believer; go prove it!

This was a great win . May be Al Should have all of the Raider great go to Baltimore and give the Raiders a motivation speech before the game. They are going to need it. This is a playoff game for us. We need to us Macfadden more. More Swing passes and Screens. We need to hit the tight ends more. The Defense needs to play like this for all 4 quarters.

Get Javon Walker the f@#$ing ball. He is a stud who is doing you no good averaging 2 catches per game.
