After three seasons at the helm of the John Swett boys basketball team, coach Wolfe Perry has stepped down, clearing the way for an Indian-alum to take over the bench.
Chris Russell, who graduated from Swett in 1994, returns to his former school to try and turn around a team that went 1-19 last season, including 0-14 in the Bay Shore Athletic League.
This is Russell’s first job as a varsity head coach, and he was an assistant coach at Mendocino Junior College where he also played for two years.
He is a graduate of Dominican University in San Rafael.

Coach Russell will give his heart and soul to his team. He’ll expect nothing less in return from his players.
Go get ‘em Chris!
