It’s a shame to see what has happened to Acalanes over the last several years. This year was tough on the players as the coaching staff imploded. Hopefully some changes can happen to let the kids have a chance to enjoy the game. Worst in the league in offense 2nd to last in defense and losing their last 7 games with 0-5 in league.

  2. matsfan94 Says:

from what i have heard over the years is Coach Takashi from Acalanes never played football growing up and only got the job because he is the A.D. this might only be a rumor im not sure>

Im interested to see who gets first team all league quarterback honors. Gortons got the most yards but Lowery is throwing for 20 yards a pop, a higher completion percentage, and has a ridiculous touchdown to interception ratio. Not surprising then that las lomas and miramonte’s recievers have great stats.

  4. nfl Says:

matsfan94 who’s the better quaterback the lefty or #2 lowery?

  5. matsfan94 Says:

Connor Lowery is the best Qb in the Dfal!

  6. matsfan94 Says:

The Lefty hasn’t played other than washup time since week 5…

  7. Mats4Life Says:

Lowery is the better quarterback which is why he has gone from splitting time with the lefty Vacarro to being the full time starter and taking all the snaps

  8. always adon Says:

Matsfan 94, Takahashi never played the game and thats why his players had to go full contact in almost every practice and had nothing left is the 4th qtr. Rumor has it he is finally being replaced. Will be interesting to see who replaces him. Hear one of the Mats assistants is in the running.

  9. matsfan94 Says:

well Takahashi dug his own grave so i dont feel bad for him. I know the Mats Def. cord. went to Acalanes byt we sure as heck dont want to lose him!

  10. Steve Says:

The problem with Acalanes goes deeper than just football. Randy Takahashi has proven that he is not qualified to be a football coach, let alone head coach. Hiring himself as head coach, without considering others may eventually be his undoing. Football has helped expose his ego-centric approach to his AD position. Baseball, Basketball and other sports have suffered deeply as well, as coaches are becoming less interested in playing for an AD whose actions clearly indicate his lack of interest/ability in creating a strong, winning program. An athletic director should be measured by the success of the overall sports program, which is where his/her attention needs to be - everyday. An AD needs to network in and out of the system to create the relationships necessary to build a program of dedicated coaches, that can in-turn build winning continuity in their respective sports. An AD must also have strong relationships with College coaches in all sports, with Takahashi; this is clearly not the case. At Acalanes it is time to for a change, the school needs an AD that will take charge of all sports, commit to creating a spirited environment for our children to succeed and have a high quality and competitive experience that only sports can provide. Acalanes has become the laughing stock of the league, this should not be acceptable. We need a change now, our kids deserve it.

Gee, why don’t we just trash the guy.

  12. Rich Webber Says:

The restructure of the divisions was long over due. We’ll see what happens next year, should be exciting.
Hey Anthony, did you attend Desert High? Brother Victor? We went to school together if so.
