I also hope that Mr. Sye will be a great addition to our school, helping us to regain some of Skyline’s glory. Our school is great, even with all of its controversies, and is a happy-go-lucky place that not only I, but also some of my friends are looking forward to going back to on Monday. As an employee of the district, I have avoided making any comments on this blog however I feel compelled to reply to the “Catherine” comment. She must be mistaking me with someone else since I have never directly or indirectly said that the reason I choose to take another position with the district was because of “lack of support from the families.” I was truly astonished to read this. One of Redwood Heights’ greatest strengths is the extraordinary support given to all staff including myself by the parent community. They are dedicated, creative, and caring. During my entire time at Redwood, this community has been nothing but supportive.

Again…You get what you pay for…all/most are interns…the cheapest rate of pay…OUSD needs to cough up the dollars for all – principals, teachers, etc, etc…rather than declass the other professionals in the District and risk students losing out on a quality education enjoining with the other lumpenproletariats…

I wonder if Ann would be willing to do this since I have overheard her tell at least two people that she left Redwood Heights because of the lack of support from the families.

I hope that Mr. Sye does a god job in the coming school year. I expect that Isabel, Diamond, and I will be regularly blogging about our experience at Skyline in our senior years, so we’ll be sure to keep you all updated.

Ann Kruze sent an email to Redwood Heights families stating that she had been asked by the district to stay on for the first month of school until an acting Principal had been assigned.
