More on Oakland Tech’s ice skaters

Doesn’t this picture look like it belongs on a teen movie cover? Well, the Oakland Tech skaters did pull off a performance of “Thriller” this fall with just two months of experience. Maybe next year it could be High School Musical on Ice.

what an awesome, innovative PE class. kudos to the oakland ice center for reaching out to make something like this possible, and huge props to the kids who get up when it’s still dark, trek across oakland, and try something new. thanks, katy, for a great, inspiring piece.
