The game of chess, explained

My colleague Angela Hill wrote a column, published today, Oakland kids who love to play chess. On Thursday, about 200 children competed in a tournament sponsored by the nonprofit Berkeley Chess School, which began to offer weekly classes at Oakland schools last fall.
