I echo the comments about Crocker Highlands and Beth Rhine. She was a natural fit to come back to Crocker as principal after having taught there for many years. It seems that the school now has the leadership it needs in place for many years to come. The atmosphere yesterday was very enthusiastic and the school looks great with all the landscaping that has been added. Kudos once again to the excellent parent involvement at Crocker.

Seemed like a fabulous first day, at least from this parent’s perspective at both Crocker Highlands and Oakland School for the Arts. Both kids were happy too. Crocker is really excited to have Beth Rhine, a former teacher at Crocker (and having had a child in her class, I can say an outstanding educator) there as principal now.

OSA was ready to go too and I’m looking forward to a fabulous year at both schools! Great start….lets hope it stays that way.

Great first day of school at Joaquin Miller, where we have a new principal and are shaking off some rough goings from last year. People seem very optimistic about Ms. Smith (principal), who has made a strong first impression, and though I don’t hear people talk about the new superintendent, that might be part of the optimism.
