Whats the point? You just gave these people an excuse-they are already apologists for criminal behavior.

Schools in the Fruitvale and Deep East are just as bad!

I think this is an example of how education will drop but social services (excuse making in disguise) will rise with this administration.

Fix education, and schools first! Look at the incident at Laney College. The former president decided to encourage dropouts to attend through a school on campus. Educators and apologist cities such as this work by focusing their efforts on the thugs first, but what do they do? Make excuses for that behavior.

Ghettos been around for decades and the only thing that has successfully changed hods are gentrification efforts.

Good Luck./

Admittedly, it was sort of odd to watch principals and other staff "tour" neighborhoods that they were already familiar with.
Still, it was good to see them out and attempting to learn more and connect with the communities they are duty-bound to serve.
