If you’d like to get involved, the alliance is holding a meeting Thursday, Oct. 28 in the Chabot Elementary School library.

The Oakland School Food Alliance will be hosting a community gathering to initiate next steps in the organization’s efforts to support OUSD school food reform. The meeting will be held Thursday, October 28th, 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Chabot Elementary School library at 6686 Chabot Road. The agenda is an overview of the past 2 years of work followed by the newly developed strategic plan and a call to participate on work committees.

The Oakland School Food Alliance unites families and community partners for school food reform in the Oakland Unified School District. The Food Alliance is a city wide organization of students, families, OUSD staff, educators, health professionals, local government and community organizations.

Through advocacy and support, the Food Alliance works for the highest standards of nutrition and a sustainable system that cultivates lifelong healthy choices for Oakland students.
