Clothes made of hemp (no, you can’t smoke ‘em), organic raw food vegan concoctions (see Lydia’s Lovin’ photo above, from last year), wildly excited little kids, a gaggle of solar power companies, music and more delighted the green masses at this weekend’s San Francisco Green Festival, billed as the world’s largest such gathering by sponsors Global Exchange and Co-Op America. “We look forward to this event all year,” said Lyndon Rive, chief executive of solar power installation company SolarCity in San Mateo County’s Foster City. If you think this kind of food is tasteless, you should try it, esp. the chocolate samples handed out at numerous booths. Delicioso!
