Solar in Richmond? You’re darn tootin’. Now that Gayle McLaughlin, a founder of Solar Richmond, has been elected mayor of the city, looks like the organization she helped found to encourage more solar energy on residential, business and public properties has an even better chance. The goal is five megawatts of solar energy installed in Richmond by 2010 and 100 new jobs.
