We have entered bye weeks! A somewhat ridiculous six teams - the Lions, Colts, Dolphins, Patriots, Giants and Seahawks - get to enjoy a relaxing weekend at home. So any players on those teams had better be out of your starting lineup.
One change from last week, I added a “Too Close to Call” category. These are players who play 1 p.m. or night games whose status isn’t going to be announced until 30 minutes before kickoff. They’re a gamble so start them at your own risk.
Playing
Adrian Peterson
Donovan McNabb
Brett Favre
Bryant Johnson
Jerry Porter
Not Playing
Carson Palmer
Donte’ Stallworth
Ahman Green
Sidney Rice
Too Close to Call
Brian Westbrook
Darren McFadden
Brandon Lloyd

Welcome to Part 2 of Late Post Theater, Start/Bench. Like the Texans and Ravens before me I had to take an unscheduled early bye week (with Jeremiah providing an assist) but I’m back to continue uncovering hidden gems and exposing fantasy frauds.
But first an update on my Week 2 and current overall scores.
Team: Game (Season)
All-Start: 79 (169)
All-Bench: 68 (125)

I’m running a little late with this, I know, but it’s a list of teams we’ve seen before for the most part so there’s not a whole lot to say. The only fantasy power we haven’t seen yet is the Saints. So I’ll get right to it.
10 a.m. Sept. 28: 49ers at Saints, Fox
1 p.m. Sept. 28: Chargers at Raiders, CBS
5:15 p.m. Sept. 28: Eagles at Bears, NBC
5:30 p.m. Sept. 29: Ravens at Steelers, ESPN

The diminutive Chargers running back has become a relevant fantasy player for the first time in his fourth NFL season, mainly because of LaDainian Tomlinson’s nagging injuries, but also because he’s shown flashes of being an explosive offensive force.

Don’t forget, the weekly live chat is at noon on Thursday, Sept. 25. It will take place on the other end of this link. Also at that link (and also the other link, and this one) you can set it to remind you if, like myself, you tend to forget times of things.

I just know you have questions this week. As soon as you get your starting lineup the way you like it, suddenly the Lions, Colts, Dolphins, Patriots, Giants and Seahawks decide to take a week off and force you to throw in some backups to fill the spots.
Ok, probably not so much the Lions. Or Dolphins since only about 25% of you started Ronnie Brown and his 39 points (ask Jeremiah about that). But the Pats, Colts and Giants might be throwing you off.
So ask away and we’ll tell you who to drag off your bench as a fill-in (Hint: Selvin Young).

Before I get into my actual picks, I just wanted to commiserate with any of you Ronnie Brown owners out there, who like me, did not play the very guy I hyped at the start of the season. I actually considered placing him on my “bench” list.

Filling in for Danny, so here we go….
Starters
QB: Aaron Rodgers has been awesome the first two weeks and facing a Dallas team that just got torched by the Eagles should keep his streak going.
RB: As much as I want to pick Michael Turner, I feel like he’s too easy. So, I’m going with Reggie Bush and my new crush Chris Johnson. Bush is playing against the same defense that Darren Sproles tore apart and Bush is pretty much a supped up version of Sproles. Johnson is playing the Texans, who were forced to take last week off. Even if they’re fired up for their first game back, Johnson could really exploit their suspect defense.
