Week 4 Question Submissions

I just know you have questions this week. As soon as you get your starting lineup the way you like it, suddenly the Lions, Colts, Dolphins, Patriots, Giants and Seahawks decide to take a week off and force you to throw in some backups to fill the spots.
Ok, probably not so much the Lions. Or Dolphins since only about 25% of you started Ronnie Brown and his 39 points (ask Jeremiah about that). But the Pats, Colts and Giants might be throwing you off.
So ask away and we’ll tell you who to drag off your bench as a fill-in (Hint: Selvin Young).

Hi there,
sort of in a bad situation with my WR’s.
Was trying to pick up Antonio Bryant or Brandon Lloyd but they were already picked up.
Now off the FA list I have Chansi Stuckey (3 TD’s), Justin McCareins and Justin Gage (?). I know not the best of players around but I just need a one week fill-in. Please advise.

When you don’t have any really good options I always look at the numbers:
Minnesota is ranked 20th in passing yards allowed per game, Arizona is 11th. So that puts the two Titans ahead of the Jet.
But which Titan? Last week, in the entire sample size for the current Kerry Collins era, McCareins had nine fewer yards than the rest of the team combined (which was only 90 yards but we’ll take what we can get as a one-week replacement.) If that doesn’t scream “favorite receiver” I don’t know what does.
So go with Justin McCareins.

I need some help on my receivers and swing man this week. Can pick 2 WR’s and a swing RB/WR. I have these guys starting:
Greg Jennings @ TB
DeSean Jackson @ CHI
Reggie Bush @ SF
and a choice of:
Thomas Jones vs. ARI
Jonathan Stewart vs ATL
Torry Holt vs BUF
Santana Moss @ DAL
Donte’ Stallworth @ CIN
I also think I’m gonna go with the Titans vs MIN over Green Bay @ TB. Anyways, was just looking for a second opinion and so far your opinions have been pretty spot on.
Thanks again for the help.

Well, Holt is out of consideration, the over/under on how long it’s going to take before Trent Green suffers a severe concussion is eight minutes.
None of the rest are bad choices. Bush is a good choice since the Niners couldn’t even stop Julius Jones and Greg Jennings leads the league in receiving yards.
I would consider starting Santana Moss over DeSean Jackson. Moss has a starting spot so he has more opportunities than Jackson and they’re similar players otherwise, but Moss is 4th in the league in receiving yards against Jackson’s eighth.
On a different note, let’s all let that sink in for a moment: Rookies DeSean Jackson and Eddie Royal are 8 and 18 in yards after three weeks, ahead of Terrell Owens (20), Andre Johnson (46), Marvin Harrison (50), Torry Holt (56) and Chad Johnson (81). We’ve entered a brave new world.
