Incorporating math into my Start/Bench predictions was apparently just the shot in the arm the All-Start Team needed.  After a two-week slump All-Start surged to a 118-64 win over All-Bench.  Not only that but the predictions were surprisingly accurate, with the All-Start predictions averaging 0.89 points above projections and All-Bench averaging just 1.67 over projections.

All-Start

POS: Name - Points (Prediction)
QB: Matt Schaub - 16 (18)
WR: Lee Evans - 14 (10)
WR: Bernard Berrian - 14 (10)
WR: Derrick Mason - 14 (8)
RB: Chris Johnson - 22 (19)
RB: Steve Slaton - 14 (19)
TE: Jason Witten - 4 (8)
K: Ryan Longwell - 12 (8)
DEF: Tampa Bay - 8 (12)
Total: 118 (110)

All-Bench

QB: Chad Pennington - 16 (8)
WR: Hines Ward - 12 (6)
WR: Dwayne Bowe - 8 (7)
WR: Antwaan Randle El - 5 (5)
RB: Chris Perry - 0 (5)
RB: Matt Forte - 12 (6)
TE: Billy Miller - 5 (3)
K: Adam Vinatieri - 2 (4)
DEF: Detroit  - 4 (5)
Total: 64 (49)

That was the good news.  The bad news is the one mailbag question this week.

Q: Brett Favre or Ben Roethilsberger, plus two of this list:

LaDainian Tomlinson
Frank Gore
Brandon Jacobs
Reggie Bush
Jonathan Stewart

Two of this list:

Greg Jennings
Santana Moss
Bernard Berrian
Torry Holt
Eddie Royal

And one from either.

A: Suggestions in bold, best play in italics.

Brett Favre: 5
Ben Roethlisberger: 16
LaDainian Tomlinson: 6
Frank Gore: 6
Brandon Jacobs: 18
Reggie Bush: 5
Jonathan Stewart: 12
Greg Jennings: 3
Santana Moss: 13
Bernard Berrian: 14
Torry Holt: 5
Eddie Royal: 7

Suggestion Total: 45
Possible Total: 79
Difference: -34

That was a long list of very bad calls…
