According to Jay Glazer, Plaxico Burress just turned himself in to the NYPD and, if convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm, faces a mandatory three and a half year prison sentence. So he’s not playing.

The turkey was excellent, which is good because the games were not.
This is why I suggested making sure to start someone from each game. Which I meant to do, but somehow managed to list two people from the late game on All-Start and none from Cowboys-Seahawks. But the question remains: How did I do?
Let’s examine my successes, then cover the fantasy storylines you may have missed due to a food-induced coma.

Enjoy the games, and happy Thanksgiving.

In honor of Thanksgiving, that time of family, overeating and eight televised pro football games in one week, Start/Bench is coming early. You better enjoy this because it’s also your Christmas present.
As an added challenge to myself, I’m including one player from each Thursday game on each team. Why? Because if possible I try to do the same on my fantasy team. Makes the games more exciting, gives you a rooting interest.
Team: Game (Season)
All-Start: 83 (1006)
All-Bench: 73 (812)

In what I believe is one of the signs of the apocalypse, Andy Reid benched Donovan McNabb. The same Andy Reid who drafted him despite getting booed, continued to start him despite rampant booing after Jeff Garcia played far better in limited time, stuck by him despite the boo-filled outcry of fans…you get the idea. It’s Philly. They throw batteries and they boo.
Of course it was short lived. Reid has announced McNabb will start this Thursday. Apparently the best thing for job security is to have a backup who’s exponentially worse than you are.
In the words of Misti, the Official IFS Eagles Fan, “Our offense is sickeningly inept either way so I’m not sure it makes much of a difference.”

Again I nail the All-Start running backs, again I get mixed results because of receiver problems. All-Start’s receiver corps tanked and Lance Moore had a career game.
Don’t take this as me shifting the blame but am I the only one who’s noticed a total lack of consistency in receivers this season? There don’t seem to be any solid players, no every-week sure thing starters. Past stars are either having an awful year or just as inconsistent as the pack.
As for the rest, I went 1-1-1 in the posted questions. I did know ties are allowed. I also blew Jeremiah out of the water on one question from the Q&A: He recommended Donald Driver (four points) while I suggested Randy Moss (30 points). No, I will never let that go.

Three games on Thursday this week, so interrogate us as soon as possible. Nothing hurts more than missing the playoffs by one game because you forgot to set your roster before Thanksgiving. I would know.

What do you know? Everyone questionable who has any fantasy weight is playing. Well, except Reggie Bush, who’s a definite maybe and should only be started if you’re really, really desperate.
Update: According to Jay Glazier, Reggie Bush is out. Start Pierre Thomas.
Second Update: Fox reports Brandon Jacobs is inactive after all. Pull him if you still can.

My goal for this week? No All-Bench players having inexplicable breakout weeks. Last week I got burned by a few players who came out of nowhere, but not this time! I hope.
Team: Game (Season)
All-Start: 77 (923)
All-Bench: 86 (739)

I feel like Variety with that headline.
Bengals WR Chad Johnson, or Chad Ocho Cinco, or just Ocho Cinco, or whatever he’s called this week, is deactivated for tonight’s game for violating team rules. If you’ve got him set to start pull him before kickoff.
Marvin Lewis must hate fantasy players for a last-minute suspension before a Thursday night game.
