Week 12 Question Submissions

You aren’t asking us things!  We feel so useless over here.  We just wander around the newsroom looking lost, offering unsolicited fantasy advice to random staffers and occasionally furniture.  I told the chair to start Peyton Hillis.

Put your questions in the comments here so people stop looking at me like I’m crazy.

What’s up fellas? I have a interesting choice for my RB2. I have Jones-Drew, who has been tearing it up the past few weeks, but plays the tough Vikings D or I could go with Warrick Dunn who is the main back now that Graham is on IR and he plays the awful Lions defense. Which back do you think I should start. This a very big week for me, I go up against the number 1 guy for the top spot. Thanks Guys

Also, I need help at my WR3. Now I have the option between Kevin Curtis or Matt Jones. A few guys on the waiver wire, Brando Lloyd, Bobby Wade, Deion Branch, Brandon Jones. Will any of those guys be more productive than the my current options? If so, which one should I pick up. My other 2 starters are Andre Johnson and Greg Jennings. Thanks again

OK, 1 more. I have Winslow and Shiancoe. With Winslow being injured and questionable, should I start Shaiancoe regardless if Winslow plays? Thanks

Ha ha! Questions! Ok, let’s go down the list.

    1) I have to say play the matchup here. The Lions are bad on an all-time level. Last week not only did the Panthers primary running back get 130, the second-leading rusher got 120. I can’t remember the last time two RBs broke 100 yards, let alone two breaking 120 yards. Before that Detroit allowed three touchdowns to MJD and 126 to Matt Forte.

Let me put it another way. Discounting the game where MJD faced the Lions, Detroit is allowing an average of 16 points to the primary back and 28 total points from opponents rushing, so Dunn will fall somewhere in there. Meanwhile MJD has averaged nine points per game.

    2) Jones was doing great before his…troubles, and he’s broken 100 yards as recently as Week 8. Meanwhile Curtis hasn’t topped 83 all year and is facing the (previously) formidable Ravens defense.

The only of the WRs you listed who’s a possibility is Branch but he’s still iffy, and Jones just completed a full practice meaning he’s almost certain to return to the lineup, so I’ll say Jones. But with Jennings and Johnson as your other two the group as a whole will be fine either way.

    3) If Winslow plays start him. He’s got great chemistry with Quinn. It’s looking like he might start, and he’s played through worse.

Check back Sunday morning and I’ll be sure to include Winslow in Gametime Decision.
