We have seen Mickey Mouse’s lovable face on every single piece of clothing possible: T-shirts, jeans, hats, underwear, shoes, etc., etc., etc., etc.

So what’s so special about these dresses with his face on it?

Two words: Vivienne Tam

The Hong Kong fashion designer created these garments in honor of Chinese New Year and took them out to play at the happiest place in the far east: Hong Kong Disneyland.

“I’ve liked Mickey Mouse since I was very little. They (Disney characters) gave me many happy moments during my childhood,” said Tam.

The outfits will be available at her stores in March or April.

Normally, Mickey Mouse inspired outfits would have a cuteness factor that would make me gag. These ones are semi-tolerable. And that’s largely due to the fact that Tam’s name is attached to them (yes, I know that’s pretentious of me.)

It seems suitable to create dresses inspired by the happy rodent considering that it is the year of the rat. Sure, Mickey isn’t a rat, but it’s close enough.
