…and now, J.P. Calderon best known from The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency….

How are you doing tonight?

Doing great – I’m really excited.

What are you excited about most?

A lot of things! I’m excited to see who wins tonight. And excited to see Sharon Stone and all the celebs of course. I’m also excited to be a part of this event.

Since you have been in the fashion industry, was it what you expected?

It’s not as glamorous as people think. People don’t realize that models look great in the film, but that’s the only glamorous part – the outcome. The model life is kind of un-glamorous. You do a show and it’s fun for 10 minutes and then you’re off!

What made you opt for no tie tonight?

That’s really funny because it did say in my press package “Black tie optional.” So I thought to myself, “I have a new Hugo Boss suit and it’s a little bit different from your normal suit. It’s one-button, it has a little shimmer to it, it has a European cut. I thought that I am a model so I should look the part. I thought I’d be a little edgier and not wear the tie (laughs.) I hope I can slide, I hope I don’t offend anyone.

What do you like and don’t like about fashion right now?

I like the cuts. It’s really tailored to the body. That’s how I style myself – by the cut. I don’t like the flamboyant coming out – it’s too Riviera/Monte Carlo. I mean, where are you going to wear that? Besides the Riviera or the Monte Carlo? (laughs)
